Taking a Break from Freelance Work in Q4 2023

It’s been a while since I last wrote here, and a lot has been happening in my life and work. Today, I want to share a decision I’ve made: I won’t be taking on any freelance work for the remainder of this year.
Over the past few months, my studio has been handling some client projects, primarily related to web design. Even though I’ve hired freelancers to execute the designs, I invested much time in managing the projects, providing feedback, and ensuring the quality I desired. While it’s been great for generating income, I started feeling a bit scattered and exhausted.
As a result, I’ve decided to shift my focus. My long-term goal is to create my apps or products. I want to concentrate on my work at Tappz, the company I’m currently with, and contribute more value there.
So, what will I be doing during my free time, after office hours, or on weekends? Here’s my plan:
Learning SwiftUI: I began my SwiftUI journey in June, which was enjoyable for the first couple of months. However, I paused my learning because I felt I hadn’t grasped it entirely. Now, I’m determined to dive back in and master it.
Exploring Apple app design: I want to understand the platform better and design apps for WatchOS and macOS.
Writing – Possibly Continuing My Newsletter.
That’s all for today’s post!
